Richard Swallow

Trustee

Richard Swallow serves as a Specially Appointed Commissioner of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, supporting the care and welfare of the Chelsea Pensioners. He is also a Trustee of James’ Place, a national charity providing life‑saving support to men in suicidal crisis, and he also chairs their Development Board. In addition, he is a Deputy Lieutenant of Somerset, assisting the Lord‑Lieutenant in ceremonial and civic duties.

In addition to his public service, Richard is a Partner at Slaughter and May, where he is Co‑Head of the firm’s Disputes and Investigations practice.
