D-Day 78: A Commemorative Concert At the Memorial

On Monday 6 June, the 78th anniversary of the D-Day Landings, The Band of the Yorkshire Regiment with the Jedburgh Pipers will perform a concert at the British Normandy Memorial.

It is the first time the general public will be able to mark the annual D-Day anniversary at the Memorial itself and the concert, hosted by the Normandy Memorial Trust, is free to attend.

The programme of music will feature Sons of the Brave, Band of Brothers, and the always rousing Highland Cathedral. There will be a moment of remembrance with a traditional rendition of the Last Post followed by Reveille.

Arrival: from 5pm
Concert starts: 6.30pm
Concert ends: 7:30pm

Food and refreshments will be available to purchase before and during the concert.

Please note this is a standing event and general seating WILL NOT be available.

Please note: the Memorial site will be open to the general public all day on Monday 6 June, and indeed on the days preceding and following the anniversary, should you wish to visit at a different time.

Highlights of the 78th anniversary activities at the Memorial will be available to watch online soon after Monday 6 June.
