Richard Donald Stevens

Lieutenant Donald Stevens of Gannock Park, Deganwy near Conwy, joined the Welsh Guards aged 18 at the outbreak of the Second World War. He was commissioned as an officer and landed in Normandy a couple of weeks after D-Day. He was killed on 4th of August 1944 when the tank he was commanding took a direct hit from a German shell. He is buried at St Charles de Percy War Cemetery.
