STANDING WITH GIANTS INSTALLATION ENDS

The Standing with Giants installation will leave the British Normandy Memorial on 19 September, returning to the UK for essential maintenance and repair. Standing with Giants, which is a separate registered charity, will also have the opportunity to display the installation at other locations across the UK during the winter months.

The Normandy Memorial Trust very much hopes to welcome the Giants back to Normandy in spring 2027. However, their return will depend upon securing sufficient funding and sponsorship to meet the costs of transporting, installing, maintaining and hosting the installation for another season.

The Giants have become a much-loved part of the Memorial landscape, creating a powerful and deeply personal tribute to the 1,476 servicemen who died under British command on D-Day. We know how much their presence means to veterans, families and visitors, and we are actively seeking partners who can help secure their return.
