Ralph and Vicky McClure visit Memorial

Ralph McClure is a 97-year-old Royal Navy D-Day Veteran. He was born in 1925 and grew up in Nottingham. He was a signaler on board HMS LCT 952 and landed on the British section of Sword Beach.

On 6 September,  Ralph’s grand-daughter, actor Vicky McClure, accompanied him on a very special visit to the British Normandy Memorial. Filming took place ahead of the release of documentary, ‘Vicky McClure: My Grandad’s War’ to broadcast on ITV next year.
