Normandy Bike Ride In Tribute To Sgt. Harry Salmon

In August 2020, 82-year-old Harry Salmon, cycled 270km from Dieppe to Ouistreham in tribute to his father Sgt. Harry Salmon and to raise money for the Normandy Memorial Trust. He has so far raised over £3,500. A big thank you to Harry and his family for all their support!

You can increase his total by visiting his JustGiving page or support his efforts by becoming a Guardian of the British Normandy Memorial, giving as little as £10 month to help preserve the Memorial for future generations.

Here is the story of Harry and his father, featuring an excerpt of one of Sgt Salmon’s last letters home.

You can also read Harry’s account of his father’s life here.
