D-Day 79: Commemorations on 6 June 2023

The French authorities have announced that the annual ‘International Event’ and commemoration of D-Day will take place this year at the British Normandy Memorial. This is likely to take place on the afternoon of 6th June and may involve restrictions to public access to the Memorial. The Trust is awaiting further details from the French authorities who organise the International Event.

The Trust is also working closely with The Royal British Legion who will once again stage a commemorative event at the Memorial on the morning of 6th June. This event will be open to the public.
