The photo of John Wall can be found in an article in the Shrewsbury Chronicle of Friday 21 July 1944 which gives us a bit of information about him.
"News was received on Monday by Mrs J. J. Wall, of 23 Sandpits Avenue, that her husband, R.S.M. John Henry Wall, K.S.L.I., had died of wounds. He was a regular soldier, and had been in the Army for 15 years. He was born in Iron-Bridge and came to Ludlow five years ago as an instructor. His chief hobby was running, for which he had many awards, and also won cups for boxing. He held an army certificate for15 years."
