Herbert Reginald Neal

Sergeant Herbert Neal was a pharmacist from Conwy. He trained as an RAF navigator in South Africa before returning to the UK to undertake operational duties. On the 19th of July 1944 his Squadron of Lancaster bombers were tasked with bombing railway lines east of Paris. Neal’s plane was shot down with the loss of all seven airmen, and they are buried together at Herbise Churchyard in France. He was married with one son.
